  Are slow iPhones a US thing?

  Is the "Apple slowing down older phones" a US thing? I ask because I have a 6s Plus, nearly 2 yrs old, and it does not seem slow to me. My kids use my old and battered 5s for games and YouTube, and while it is clearly slower than my 6s it is perfectly usable.   Hey everyone, so I wrote a few posts here and here about my battery issues on the iPhone 6 earlier on in the year. I am glad to finally find out the truth, and I am not angry that Apple was throttling my phone without informing me. I'm just angry that they did it to cover up whatever was going wrong on their end. I say this with certainty because there was never a single update that resolved the battery performance, and in fact by iOS 11 the phone was unusable. As such, their claim that the updates were aimed at resolving battery life issues is moot. 온라인바카라 If you read my posts, I naively suspected the abysmal phone performance on low RAM here, yet in fact it was Apple behind the scenes covering up on poor energy-management software by bricking the whole phone experience. I know this is my experience and it may not be a typifying example of what iPhone 6 users went through but I think its good that this coming to light.   Apple: Why do you do this? / Doge's iPhone X Preview [UPDATED]

  So I finally had a chance to check out the infamous unibrow phone today: the iPhone X. Here were my initial findings: 온라인카지노 THE GOOD As many have said, the notch isn't so bad in person. It does kind of blend in. It's alright, I guess, maybe I was just so used to looking at it in images so much over the past 6 months that it wasn't much of a shock. Interestingly enough, the ears weren't as crammed as I was expecting. I think Apple marketing actually blew it with the images, surprisingly. The status icons looked fine. The screen looked sharp and vibrant, but that was to be expected. What was a real joy to use was what I was excited about from the launch event: the multitasking. Boy was it sweet. If they just took the Force Touch way from the previous iPhones, and allowed you to initialize it from the right edge, combine it with the X mechanism, that would be the ultimate. As expected, the side bezels were basically the same as any other iPhone. I even took a photo with the 7 next to it to compare, for all the naysayers. Bezelless my butt. I get the brand identity retention, I really do. I used to be in marketing, I know how this all works. But when Apple puts their brand over the user experience of watching a video/movie, that is bad. There is no way to slice that. All they had to do was implement some software to add 'side bezels' when watching a movie, and all would be well. Do people really need to know you are holding an iPhone X when you are watching a video? How often does that even happen? Most of the time you will probably be at home on your couch or in bed. The rest of the time you will be holding the phone in portrait, and the notch will be front and center. But forcing it to be there while watching a video, just to market yourself, is just hubris. Plain and simple. I hate to bring up this tired trope again, but I seriously doubt Jobs would have signed off on this.

  So I've been wondering what's been taking Apple so long to get Homepod ready for launch. Sure, it's almost here, but it was announced before the Google Home Max, for example, and the Max is already on the market (for all five people who wish to buy it).   I'm usually not a fan of most of Apples products, but sometimes you have to take a step back and admire some of the results of the decisions they make. 카지노사이트주소 AirPods... In hindsight, my decision to leave any particular platform was fairly petty/short-sighted: I left Palm because I thought the iPhone was cooler I left the iPhone because I preferred Windows Phone’s (and/or Zune’s) design principles I left Windows Phone because I wanted Snapchat I left Android because of battery issues/how it managed background applications But there were only 2 reasons I switched back to an iPhone: Official battery case (a friend showed me his and I loved it) iMessage (a friend of mine is colorist AF and hates seeing green bubbles) 인터넷바카라 But aside from iMessage and the case, there is nothing that’s making me stick with iOS. I use a few of the other default apps (Phone, Weather, Clock, Photos, Camera, TestFlight*), but every platform has their own incarnation of those and I could survive without them. And if you prefer certain iOS default apps, which ones and why are they better the competition offered in the App Store?
